June 1, 2007 Greenville, RI USA/ Uden, Netherlands: For many years, Videology has been supplying video cameras to the CCTV magnification industry for use in Low Vision Reading systems. These devices provide highly magnified, high contrast images of text and pictures for people with reduced visual acuity. Typically the high contrast images are displayed in black on white, white on black (reverse video), yellow on blue or in a variety of false color combinations.
To further assist our customers in this market, we have developed a Low Vision Image Processor (LVIP) for use with our cameras – both auto-focus zoom and mini board cameras.
This low cost, compact board measures only 1.6” x 1.6” and includes an analog to digital converter, digital signal processor, RGB encoder and micro-controller. It accepts either composite or S-Video input, and supports the following outputs:
|
A USB output can even be made available. |
The digital signal processor creates clear high contrast images in a variety of color combinations (these colors can be customized to meet your specific requirements).
The on board micro-controller provides the communications interface for the camera, and can be programmed to accept control signals from your existing control panel.
Whether you are designing a new CCTV product, or looking to reduce the cost of an existing system, the Videology LVIP is the perfect solution in conjunction with our cameras. We will work with you to integrate the LVIP seamlessly into your design, helping you reduce both material and labor costs.
