Videology's core competency is video camera design, development, and production. Since 1991 Videology has manufactured video cameras and accessories for machine vision, biometrics, low vision, ID badging, surveillance, industrial, and medical imaging OEM markets and applications worldwide.
Our focus is providing value-added products to our customers at a fair cost. Unlike larger manufacturers, Videology specializes in the modification and adaptation of our products to meet custom OEM requirements. We have a full range of video camera products from which to rapidly leverage, and we create custom camera designs. Our design engineers are experts in their fields.
Our products average a seven year life cycle. OEM customers receive advanced notification of key component phase out.
To help our customers keep pace with advances in their various markets, we develop imaging products based on the most recent CCD and CMOS image sensors and DSP and CPLD components. Our imager resolutions range from VGA to 3+ megapixels. We have developed a family of USB 2.0 camera and board products and we offer full SDKs for custom integration. We recently released Ethernet based technologies and maintain an extensive knowledge base within the disciplines of base band video, RF transmission, twisted pair, power supply engineering, and EMI suppression.
Our first-class USA and European electronic design teams are complemented by our mechanical design team’s full in-house CAD capabilities. Our experienced software engineers work alongside these teams for seamless development.
Our annual standard production totals are well over three hundred thousand units. We offer complete turnkey manufacturing, including the assembly of our products into our customers' systems. Our hardware and software developers are fully involved with the custom development process, from initial concept and product specifications to final product release into our manufacturing operation.

Translating marketing requirements into technical specifications can be a significant challenge. Quantifying image characteristics and product performance requires detailed knowledge of video imaging technologies, human visual perception, and the science of colors and lighting. With years of experience in these areas, we know the capabilities and limitations of the most recent technologies. This helps us to quickly refine the specification to achieve optimal product performance at the lowest possible cost.
Our core capability is image capture design and development, from schematics level to PCB layout to final production. We can design custom interface circuitry, PC boards, and mechanical assemblies. We can create and customize software and firmware.
Having defined the product specifications, we can then provide multiple design concepts, offering a variety of options in terms of the look and feel of the product.

Our Greenville RI, USA facility is ISO9001:2000 certified and employs a team of highly trained engineers and technicians to ensure continuous quality of our products and services. We manufacture a complete range of board and housed cameras, some with integrated illumination. All products are thoroughly tested and delivered on time.
