SCAiLX by Videology is an AI Edge device platform developed fully in-house that brings embedded and Edge AI processing capabilities right on the camera level.
Launched in 2022, the SCAiLX platform is seamlessly integrated into our well-known Videology Zoom Block Camera family, which now forms our SCAILX-ZB product line. This remarkable advancement in Videology's Edge AI camera technology allows for real-time image processing and analytics without the need for cloud access to run the AI models.
SCAiLX Zoom Block Cameras open opportunities in many applications, combining Edge computing and AI, known as Edge AI in the embedded imaging industry.
Zoom Block Cameras Get Smart With SCAiLX-ZB
A Videology Zoom Block camera is a small packed camera, typically with a 2 MP image sensor, a high quality optical auto-focusing lens system that has 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x or 55x autofocus, and a built-in video processing pipeline.
In 2022, our engineering team designed the 42x42mm SCAiLX SoM board, built on an NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor. Additionally, an interface board that converts the digital video information available on the LVDS video port of the Videology Zoom Block camera to MIPI CSI-2 (LVDS-2-MIPI), interfacing the SCAiLX SoM board.
Together with an Ethernet networking board with appropriate power management and a Videology 10x Zoom Block Camera with LVDS output, this stack forms our SCAILX-ZB product line. Turning our 10x Zoom Block Camera into a small and powerful AI engine.
