Which Sony FCB block cameras are supported?

We have tested and confirmed compatibility for 2 MP Sony FCB block camera models with LVDS output. These models include:

• FCB-EV7520A (This product is now obsolete)
• FCB-EV9500L
• FCB-EV9520L

Additionally, we are evaluating compatibility for Sony FCB-ER Series (4K) and other FCB-9500 Series cameras with MIPI output. Please stay tuned for updates on these models.

How do we bring Edge AI to Sony FCB blocks?

The SCAiLX Edge AI modular platform is based on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor with a board size of 42x42 mm. This universal SoM board can connect to various add-on boards for multiple types of connectivity or sensors. Here is a step by step flow of how SCAiLX works with Sony FCB zoom block cameras. 

1. The Camera Interface: Your 2 MP Sony FCB block camera connects to our LVDS to MIPI signal converter board (SCAILX-LVDS-2-MIPI) using a KEL cable.
2. Signal Conversion: The SCAiLX-LVDS-2-MIPI board converts LVDS signals from the Sony FCM block camera into a 4-lane MIPI signal. This board supports high resolutions up to 1920x1080p at various frame rates. 
   
3. MIPI Signal Integration: The converted MIPI signal is sent to the SCAiLX-SOM-AI module through the MIPI CSI connector.
4. Ethernet Interfacing: The SCAiLX Ethernet interface board is built to facilitate video and data communication between the camera and the host network. The board has an RGMII interface to the SCAiLX Som AI module via a Flex PCB cable. 
5. Flexible Power Options: The ethernet boards mentioned above come with two power options. A PoE (SCAILX-ETH-POE) option or 12V DC (SCAILX-ETH-DC) direct power.
